SUMMARY:Savage Wonder Presents\, Kunkel & Kopchak w/ Mike LaRocco
DESCRIPTION:Settle in at The Grape Rebellion with a glass of wine as Savage Wonder presents another evening of FREE MUSIC featuring Hudson Valley’s best musicians\, singers & songwriters. \nTonight\,\nKunkel\, Kopchak & LaRocco\, a jazz hybrid/exploratory performance right here at Savage Wonder.\nFeaturing\, \nJim Kunkel\, Mickey Kopchak\, & guest Mike LaRocco.\nAbout Kunkel & Kopchak\,\nA Jazz Hybrid Guitarist/composer Jim Kunkel and bassist/composer Mickey Kopchak present lyrically and harmonically adventurous music crafted as vehicles for improvisation which spring to life in performance. The depth of their musical partnership (since 2015) is palpable in their live performance. Kunkel switches between classical and electric guitars\, enhancing the timbral soundscape\, while Kopchak expands the sonic possibilities using various electronic effects\, giving his bass a vocal and emotional quality that is always tasty and never “too much.”\nBoth are seasoned composers in jazz and other genres\, affording them an extensive book of original material as well as the occasional interesting interpretation of others’ works. \nRounding out the duo will be Mike LaRocco on Drums and Percussion.
